I began my design career in the era of paste-up and cutting color, acquiring and adapting my skills through to the computer era. My abilities have been gleaned working in varied industries such as publishing (advertising, promotion, marketing), and commercial print. From production to design to branding to printing to customer service, I've done a little bit of it all.
Skill, Ability, Knowledge
- Complete knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite design software including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat.
- Thorough knowledge of printing processes for newspaper, digital and offset press with full comprehension of CMYK and PMS color.
- Working knowledge of web design basics, with awareness of the distinctions of working between platforms.
- Thorough knowledge of and ability to execute design and branding in print media as well as familiarity with digital design.
- Working knowledge of photography, image manipulation, color correction, typography, publication, proofreading, editing.
- Proven ability to understand client concerns and meet deadlines.
Proven AbilityHaving graduated cum laude from The Art Institute of Charlotte, I have continued to prove myself with multiple awards for advertising design, Associate of the Quarter honors, and kudos for my involvement in both individual and team projects.
